'RONA'
Rona of Bathurst 'n Dundas SE CG 1990-2003 ![]() Rona came into Mary Lynn's life
when she was found wandering the streets of downtown Toronto,
Canada. Mary Lynn took her home and not being able to locate the
owner, Rona stayed. When Mary Lynn re-located to Hermosa Beach,
California, Rona came along and made herself right at home at the
beach. She became an excellent subject for Mary Lynn's
photography. Her display of typical wire fox terrier
behaviour shows through in all of these candid photos.
The black and white photo above, titled 'Sol Soul', was the Best Of Show winner at the 2002 Art Show at the Dog Show and it now resides as a permanent part of the collection of the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, Missouri. When Rona was a young 9 years old Mary Lynn took Rona to her first earthdog test. Within a year Rona had achieved the AKC title Senior Earthdog. She also was awarded the Certificate of Gameness from the American Working Terrier Association. Rona passed away in the summer of 2003. She is greatly missed. ![]()
